Mortenson Construction Training Program

Jump start your path to a long-term, well-paying career in construction! 

All participants who successfully complete Mortenson's Construction Training Program requirements will have entry level skills and workplace knowledge necessary to either become employable, enroll with an apprenticeship, or continue their education. While the goal is long term industry employment, continued employment will be based upon participant performance as a full-time employee and the business needs of the employer.

  • Earn certifications and credentials relevant to the construction industry

  • Opportunity to gain work-based learning skills and knowledge

Program Features
  • Program Participants must be 18 years of age and older

  • Authorized to work in the United States

  • Program Participants will earn hourly wage

  • Drug test and background check required

  • Opportunity to earn nationally recognized certifications

  • Opportunity to participate in a Union apprenticeship (where viable)

  • Program is offered at project sites Mortenson has identified

Requirements
  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

  • Complete a Drug Test and Background check

  • Must be willing to sign and date Non-Disclosure Agreement and comply with said agreement.

  • Must be willing to maintain contact with a Mortenson designee via email, phone, social media, post-graduation for a minimum of 6 months to 1 year

  • The physical demands described here are representative ofthose that must be met to perform essential functions of this program. While performing the duties of the program, the participant is regularly required to:

    • Work 8 to 12-hour workdays

    • Stand and walk

    • Climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch

    • Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., with limited lifting up to 50lbs
